Wooded River Committed to American Jobs

Wooded River Bedding & Home Decor in Nampa, ID has been committed to being "Made in America" since its inception.

"Wooded River became a reality in 1994 when designer Nancy Harris put the dream of starting a small business to the test. Armed with strong fabric designs and a good sense of customer satisfaction she employed seamstresses, purchased equipment and went to market with apparel and bedding products. The success that followed is a tribute to her vision, determination and desire to please Wooded River customers.

In 2003, her small company merged with Home-Style Industries, a premier manufacturer and distributor of high-end custom furniture and bedding products. Shadow Mountain is Back & Shipping!

The Statesville, NC furniture company Shadow Mountain is making a comeback. After their buyout and the agonizing months of restructuring, the company is once again restocking inventory and shipping it out to their customers. With numerous backorders, some almost a year old now, Shadow Mountain is finally starting to get back to where they once were.

We were one of the many companies that have experienced this backlog of orders and to all of our Shadow Mountain customers that have stuck with us through this trying time, we thank you. And for those that got tired of waiting, we truly understand and hope that in the future you will look to us again to provide you with some of the beautiful products that Shadow Mountain has to offer.

We have been updating our Shadow Mountain inventory as soon as we get the updated lists from them and what we show on our website now reflects that current list of Shadow Mountain Products.

When a Master Metalsmith Meets A Master Painter

Teton Mountains 22" Oval Wall Art

Ironwood Industries, the Utah based metal artisans, have recently teamed up with renowned landscape artist David Dean to produce some of the most beautiful wall art and home decor. From large 5' long metal wall art murals to functional entryway coat racks, all of these wonderful scrollwork pieces are highlighted by the painters subtle use of color and shading which showcases his immense talent.
All of us here at Clear Creek Furniture Works have fallen in love with these beautiful pieces which we at first thought may be a mistake. We wondered why would you want to cover up some of the most beautiful rustic metal imagery pieces out there today, but once we saw our first example of this relationship up close, we knew that it was a brilliant idea!

American Craftsmanship is Alive & Well

With so many of our skilled labor jobs being outsourced to other countries these days it's refreshing to see that there are still some American companies staying here at home and hiring skilled American craftsman to build their products. We feature four such companies at Clear Creek Furniture Works. Stone County Ironworks which is based in Arkansas, features wonderful iron furniture and home decor made by highly skilled artisan blacksmiths. Fireside Lodge in Minnesota, creates beautiful rustic log and barn wood furniture. Brownstreet Furniture Company in New Hampshire, builds fine Craftsman & Early American style furniture the old fashioned way. And last but not least, Ironwood Industries which is based in Utah, makes functional home decor and accents with beautiful steel scroll work imagery. All of these companies, and many more like them are helping to keep the American Dream alive. Please help support them and other companies committed to American jobs, by buying American products.

ps Support your local family farm too. ;-)

Dogs need a bed too!

Did you know that your dog needs a bed to sleep on too?

Having a bed for your dog can provide them protection from the temperature of the floor, cushioning on their joints, and the feeling of self by having their very own place. Pet beds give our furry friends a place they can go and the family will leave them be so they can rest.

I think the biggest benefit of having a pet bed is that your dog will not be sleeping on your bed or the couch. Just make sure the bed offers the proper space and support for the size of your pet. A dog who only fits half on the bed no matter how they curl up will abandon the pet bed pretty quick.

Purchase the cedar log dog bed seen here at Clear Creek Furniture Works!

We salute our fallen this Memorial Day

People will party, the race will go on, yet many will remember those fallen in war to protect and serve our great nation.

We ask that you will take some time this weekend to remember those who have brought us this great nation by giving their lives to protect ours. Our soldiers provide a great service to our country yet are often forgot about. Memorial Day is the one day a year that reminds us to remember them. So if you have forgotten, just take a moment to remember them and give them a wish of a safe return & remember those who have passed on.

With the rising flood waters, The Grand Ole Opry house in Nashville, TN has started taking on water. A complete damage report is not yet available and will most likely not be until the water recedes and workers can fully asses the damage. Rumor has it that they will be moving performances until damages can be repaired.
