Floods hit middle Tennessee
Many have heard about the flooding in middle Tennessee. Heavy rain over the last couple of days has caused the rivers to flow out of their bank. This is one of the worst floods middle Tennessee has seen. Downtown Nashville is under water, as are many businesses that are along the Cumberland River. Yesterday, I-24 was suddenly under water when a surge of water from the downpour caused the river to flow out of its banks at a high rate of speed.
The Red Cross is now helping flood victims. If you are in the Nashville area and would like to help out, you can contact the Middle Tennessee Red Cross Chapters to find out where help is needed the most.
